.....You guessed it - more car lift outage

As reported in a previous blog post, the 'weekly' car lift outage hasnt disappointed and surfaced again on Friday 30th Oct and lift 2 (one nearest dock to side of building) was out of action from Friday until Monday 2nd even though it was also out earlier in that week.

It seems once weekly is not enough at present.

p.s. It seems that either the concierge or the management company have removed the notice of this blog from the lobby?

Dear concierge/management, residents of this building have a right to express their views based upon factual events and if you are concerned about the effect on attracting new residents, or losing current ones then why not address those issues as opposed to brushing them under the carpet.

If you remove the next notice, more will just be put up and a leafleting campaign done to all apartments.

  1. Thankfully I dont have to live here much longer as my work placement is up shortly. I get pissed off when the passenger lift don't work as they did again this morning, and Im not even high up so god knows how peeved the people on the higher floors are!
Combine that with the car lifts stopping you getting your car out and boy, I feel sorry sorry for the residents. Good luck getting it sorted

  2. I'm thinking about renting in Alex T which is how I found this blog.

I've read the comments/problems you're all having, just wondered if any former/current residents could say overall what it's actually like living there - is it a good place to live? There seem to be a few apts available so any tips on which are the 'better' floors or sides of the building to be on. And I've never lived in a building with a concierge, I'm not even sure what they do! Any help or advice gratefully received.

  3. If you have a car I would seriously consider all the available information as I have met a number of residents who are leaving and more deliberating whether to leave as a direct result of the issues.

If the car lifts are both out (happens often) then your car is blocked in until one of the lifts is fixed (which does take a few hours) so it can seriously dampen your day.

It is a shame really as the building is in a lovely and quiet area (outskirts of business district) and the views are good from the majority of the building.

Another gripe is that in the summer, the temp in the flats is up in the 30's as unlike Beetham, there is no aircon so being home in the day can be a tad uncomfortable.

If you don't mind the issues it can be a nice place. hope that helps!
